Final League Ladder and Cup Finalists

League Matches and Ladder Are Now Final

We are now full steam ahead planing for the End Of Season Presentation Party. That will  be on Monday Feb 26th at Sportsman Live Lounge who is hosting this season.

The last match of the Wednesday Red Competition was played last night, Wed Feb 7. The CUP series Final is pending on Feb 21 but this now completes all the League Competitions, with the ladder now final so we can order all their winner Trophies.

The match last night saw a great finish to the season with Exiles win over Ice Breakers the round 4 catch-up match. This meant the ladder finished up up with three teams, each having nine match wins so they needed to be separated on games won percentage.

Wednesday Red Final positions are:

1. Tigra  - The overall winner with 10 matches for the season.
2. Breakers Fun - Remained in second and was just one match win behind
3. Exiles - Moved to third and just 2 games for the season behind second.
4. Moonshine - Displaced to fourth and just 6 games for the season behind third .

It is interesting that Ice Breakers lost the match after a push foul was call after Ice Breakers potted the 9 ball. That meant Exiles had ball in hand to win which allowed them to get third place and which when posted to the ladder pushed Moonshine to fourth place. How can it be all so close after 14 round of play and 20 weeks elapsed.  That is so exiting and no way could it be planned.

So it just goes to show anything is possible in 9 Ball. But hang on; that was the case in all the competitions.

So for all of us who look forward to our pool nights, we do believe we may have perpetuated the fact that a win is synonymous with both sides having fun and committing to enjoying challenging each other as friends in a social spirit where everyone wins.

Congratulation everyone on such a great season.

Below are the final ladders for all 4 competitions.

Here is the final Wed Red Comp ladder along with the other three comps which are unchanged.

Round 14 Results EOS Party and Upcoming Season Dates

Our last round Wednesday 9 Ball, and Monday Mixed this week, were reported as brilliantly enjoyable with skill, good luck and a decent measure of good fun tossed into the mix.

All top place winners should be proud of achieving and are to be congratulate by us all.

Other teams should proud too knowing our code of practice is fair play so we always have a level chance to give our opponents our best shot to beat them.
That makes us all winners in a spirit where; “Rack’em Break.em and Pot’em is about more than just winning”

Congratulations to our four competition winners

Monday Mixed Format	Wednesday 9 Ball
SPORTSMAN RAT PACK	TIGRA
SPORTSMAN TERMINATORS	HIDEAWAY

Congratulations also go to everyone for an amazingly season.
Three of the competition place positions are final so congratulations to those teams.
Position 2.3 on Wednesday remain pending a catch up next week when we also have Cup catch ups

Round 13 Results - Winter 2017/18 plus What's On

Here are Competitions results for Round 13. The catch-up Exiles vs Ice Breakers (R4) will be played on Feb 7. Go here for your Team Results Detail>>.

Scores validation by Captains confirmation was completed this week with some scores having minor corrections. For confidence in the last round of the season all results now declared final and closed as  round 13.
Of significance is a committee review on 2 rounds

• Round 8 to Sportsman Stoned was awarded the match played against Exiles on Dec 29. after an eligible Exiles players game scores were removed.

• The Round 13 match Exiles vs Hot Shots match inconclusive so a no win was recorded each team.

All other challenges and ongoing arrangements are now deemed agreed including the Exiles Round 4 catch up with Breakers to be played on Feb 7th.

As in prior seasons, if the league still believes any match outcome based on notional result unfairly impinges a team having had a fair chance to get a trophy position, it reserves the right to decide a rematch or playoff so trophy awards are based on real match play.
All top levels of each comps results are all excitingly close. Some to 5th position still have a shot at getting a trophy or moving up. Even more exiting is some scores being separated by just a few games. For last round means not only match wins but every game will count.

But trophy or not if we are all having fun, everyone will have won.
Good luck everyone.

Be warned: any Unpaid fees at this point will result in loss of ladder contention for that team.

Round 11 for the record are as follows:

Captain's, please check all your to date results on your team sheets. We will assume, by the end of this week, all results as posted are correct. That should give Captain's time to re-confirm your round 12 positions as stated in this post above,  so round 13 and 14 and any catch ups results when added will reflect the correct positions.

Also be aware that any unpaid fees at this point will result in loss of ladder contention for that team.
